With Rainguard coming to a close, my next animation project has been finalized and is now going to begin.
The Basic Idea, to take some stock footage and model a medieval style Chinese fortress setting around that stock footage. The footage ive currently selected and prepared has some mountains in it [Image 2].
So Currently were at the modeling stage, tonight before heading to bed i began work on the bamboo roof, dont know how im going to proceed, no plans going to work on it as we go, for now this is a start. heading to bed now will begin more modifications on the roof tomorrow
Dont want to spend TOO much time modeling this, the real learning or target here is to successfully integrate NUKE into my workflow / pipeline. I want to get this project down before monash kicks off.
Finally making some progress on the animation after a rather busy week at university, heaps of flash stuff due this week (friday) and flash is just one of those things that never goes well in the first go (at least for me)
well here im done working on the guns and then have a mild lit render with most of the guns placed at the front of the rainguard doing some more lighting tests this week hoping to get something on the render cycle this weekend. This too id like to be a shot of the rain guard launching
doing some displacement tests for the rainguard ;)
Ive started putting down some early pieces for the rainguard, the main ship in the animation, not sure how its going to turn out but im referincing alot of images at the same time of sci fi ships. I would say this is some 20% done hoping i can get this done before the week ends ^_^
Chillaxing over the weekend
Satisfied with some initial shots of hangar 17, will work more on the story tonight around this place before building the interior of this place througout the whole of next week.
So following the trailer and getting back to university turns out my new computer will take some time before it starts getting built…the reason for this delay ? my Black or CrackBerry….after getting it repaired back home turns out the things USB slot just CAME OUT the moment i tried to disconnect the charger…super dodgy repair job….
Oh well i have ordered my self a new HTC incredible S which should come soon (hopefully monday) In other news somefeedback over by the boys at cg society was the the models look to ‘clean’….which i dont blame them for as the texture used was just a simple 250 x 250 hull texture pulled of google, now ive used photoshop to enhance that texture and add some wear and tear….
also ive started modelling the ‘hanger 17’ which will be used in episode 2 and maybe more if time permits lets see what happens there :D alsi i plan to send out scripts for the voice actors this week hopefully that goes well looking forward to what i get back ^_^
Ahh its 3.56am here in karachi and im done modeling and drawing for the day, managed to wrap up the carrier and the ion cannon thingo today both look good and ‘solid’ upfront and should come together well in the final animation.
Tomorrow i shall visit some of my friends who are in town, and then (if time permits) at night ill begin modeling more craft that will make up the space scene in my animation
Good night :D
More stills from my short animation concept that im working hard on, here we see some shorts of a hangar and a ship that is modelled around a ‘rail gun’ concept.
the hanger is designed to be ‘tight’ and dark with ‘neon’ themed lights doing most of the lighting work along with the ships main gun which gives out its own fair share of light and ‘heat’
more on this to follow ;)
